1. Huangguoshu Waterfall
✅️ Suggested route: Tianxing Bridge→Big Waterfall→Doupotang (saves time and energy)
✅️ The essence of Tianxing Bridge lies in Yinzhu Chain Waterfall. Take the trail in the opposite direction, passing through the Tianxing Cave (cool in summer and warm in winter) to get to the old Gaozhuang District, where the Yinzhu Chain Waterfall is amazing and worthy of a visit👀.
✅️ Do not take the escalator to the Shuilian Cave. Follow the signs to take the walking path, which is effortless.
✅️ Make sure to return along the same path from Doupotang. Do not cross the river, as it will take much longer.
2. Libo Seven Small Arches
✅️ Suggested route from west to east: Ximen→ Wo Long Tan (◎)→ Yuan Yang Lake (◎)→ return to Cuigu Waterfall → Shishang Forest → return to the ancient bridge of Xiaojiechong (the downhill path is less laborious)
✅️ Rafting at Wo Long Tan costs💰50/person if you paddle for yourself, which is not cost-effective.
✅️ Boating at Yuan Yang Lake costs💰30/person and requires self-paddling. I suggest choosing one of the two, but this one is more recommended.
✅️ You can play in the water barefoot at Cuigu Waterfall, which is popular among children.
✅️ Shishang Forest has the most paths to walk on, and the waterfalls along the way are beautiful.
❌️ It is not recommended to go to the Water Forest, as only the upper section has good scenery.
3. Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village
✅️ Stilt Houses: stacked on top of each other with thick smoke from chimneys
✅️ Wind and Rain Bridge: you must change into Miao clothes and take photos on the bridge, which is very photogenic.
✅️ Thousand-Household Lantern Night View: when night falls, the lights of thousands of households come on at the same time 💡, reminiscent of stars in the sky⭐.
✅️ Miao dance and song: it is very interesting to experience the local Miao's singing and dancing.
❌️ It is not recommended to go to the observation deck to take photos of the night view, as it is crowded and the angle is not comprehensive. You can find angles at Lusheng Field, Wind and Rain Bridge, Ancient Alley, Roof, and other places instead.
4. Fanjing Mountain
✅️ It is recommended to take the round-trip cable car, enter the East Gate → take the sightseeing car→ take the cable car
✅️ Hongyun Golden Peak is very steep and needs to queue up to climb, if your energy is not enough, you can just climb this one.
5. Zhenyuan Ancient Town
✅️ Fu Family Courtyard is recommended, where there are many architectural features and cultural histories.
✅️ It is recommended to stay one night there. Zhenyuan after seven o'clock is incredibly beautiful!
6. Jiaxiu Tower
✅️ It is divided into three parts: Fuyu Bridge, Tianxiu Tower, and Cuiwei Garden.
✅️ It is suggested to come around four o'clock in the afternoon. If you're lucky, you might see the fiery clouds.
7. Wulingyuan
✅️ Route: General Peak → Zhongxingongyue → Sleeping Beauty → Bagua Field → Liu Liu Dashun Peak → The Eighth Scenic Spot → Wanfu Village → Nahe River → Big Banyan Tree → Shang Nahe Village
✅️ The essence of the place is in Shang Nahe Village, and if you're running out of time, you can go straight to this village.
❌️ It is not recommended to hike, as it takes about 3-4 hours and requires physical effort.
8. Huaxi Yelang Valley
✅️ The scenic spot is not very large, and the most worth seeing is Yelang Valley.
✅️ This is an artificial scenic spot built by artists, and the uniquely-shaped stone statues give it a mysterious atmosphere.
9. Zhaoxing Dong Village
✅️ The best photography spots are Drum Tower Group, Wind and Rain Bridge, and Observation Deck📸
